Your Vehicle's Differential Helps Get You Going

Most people know that the power to make your vehicle go is generated in the engine. What many people fail to realize however is just how that power is used to make the wheels turn, and the car moves forward. Luckily, we here at Page Toyota are here to give you the basics about your vehicle's differential which helps keep you going.

When the engine generates power, the transmission in your vehicle transmits this power to your differential. The differential is located near the axles and helps them spin thus moving the car forward. While a differential itself may last a very long time, it is important to regularly lubricate the differential, roughly every 30,000 miles.
